Day 7, 8 and 9

Lots of research and checking on accommodation for our future endeavours and just a little bit of TV watching.....yes we have finished all 24 episodes of season 8 of 24 - GO JACK!!! Run Jack run - we can't tell you more than that! I finished a book - had to but a real book with pages - thanks Conor!!! (Just kidding ) But is the next in the Robert Jordan series: Wheel of Time - but the bloody thing looks like a Mills and Boon on the front and for those who don't know what that is try Harlequin Romance - apparently that's what they're called here. What is with that - the poor shop lady had to give me a bag to put it in and I've only read it in bed....hhhhmmmm could prove difficult on our coming bus trip.

Ok having said all that we did take some photos and of course keeping up with our daily walk. So here are the pics with comments of course.

Sorry for the interruption but it has just occurred to me that we actually haven't put any Whistler photos in yet - how very remiss. So here ladies and gentleman is Whistler with comments along the way...a bit like a picture book instead of the novel some of these posts have become. And just by the way we have made it easier to comment so please do!

Here goes again

First sight of Seattle

Leaving Seattle in a little plane

Very exciting!

Me as a VIP - how cool was that!!!

Hello Vancouver!!

This one is for Mum (Elaine) - this is one of the many ice cream shops in Whistler village

Whistler village after the rain and the snow all washed away!

This is what you do in Whistler - you shop!!

This is a chocolate shop - chocolate covered apples on the right - all sorts of different toppings

Chocolate cakes and slices

Very Clever!

Very Sweet

Serious - they're real

Five Alarm Funk - really good band that played New Year's Eve

Amazing to see a band that doesn't need a smoke machine - their breaths did it all on their own!

View from Elona's top bunk

The little shelf you get

Our corner - we get very peeved if someone beats us to it: beautiful view out the window - shame about the shoddy painting!!!

View out the window

Snowmen

View from our bedroom

Dining Room - looking very clean - NOT always in this condition

Kitchen - this is the only time we have seen it this clean!!

Communal Fridges

Locked food storage if you so wish - they are very small!

Flag shot - I believe this is a bald eagle???

Flag????

Da daaaa!

Kid's playground

Beautiful Dog

We had to come down for a closer look - gorgeous eyes!

This is Nick Harvey from Melbourne who we can honestly say has less hair on his legs than Elona's - very diligent young man. He has also come out with some classic one liners...

"I'm just like a 17 year old girl!"
We love ya anyway Nick - plus we love his morning after stories which always give us a giggle!!
